Instead of a rack of headphones and charging cables in convenience stores there'd usually be a game or two. But you could find a machine nestled into a corner in small restaurants, or in between clothing racks in small clothing stores. Like in a grocery store after the checkout area.
In most places they were near the entrance/exit area. They were pretty much everywhere, it was almost stranger for a business not to have at least one machine.
